I made both of these projects with 2nd graders to 5th graders.
🇺🇸

We read informational text about both presidents, identified important details, wrote them out on the stars, and created the double sided craft.

They made a great hanging display!

Did you know there’s a smaller version of my “Reasons Why We Love Our Class/School” board?

You can use the mini @postit easel pad (from @walmart) or the large one and students can use sticky notes to write things they love.

They can also write directly on the chart paper.

I used this project with 2nd, 3rd and even 5th gra

I used this project with 2nd, 3rd and even 5th graders!😍

It’s great in helping students with fine motor skills and helps support students in completing steps sequentially.

I also enjoyed using this project with “buddy classes.” When I taught 5th grade, my students would complete this project with their 2nd grade buddies. They helped them with cutting and gluing, and also had great conversations that helped build strong relationships!

There’s also an option to include writing with this project. I would have students write haikus or diamanté poems related to Valentine’s Day.

They also make a great display. 🥳

I could not resist the 2016 trend! 🤪

✨2 kids under 2
✨Sold our first house and bought our second
✨January to June ‘16 I was teaching third grade and started the 16-17 year teaching fifth grade
✨Had just gone back to work after maternity leave and had both boys in child care 😭
✨Found a love for The One and Only Ivan and Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
✨Rocked the high bun (and still do 🤣, along with the side part)
✨Was the first year of my 30s

Where has the time gone?!

(This song was a 2016 hit, lol!)
