Meet the Teacher {Linky}

August 13, 2014 in Uncategorized

Hi
there! I am so excited to be linking up today with Stephanie over at Falling Into First for her Meet the Teacher Linky!
My name is Marine. I am a 28 year old wife, mom, daughter, sister, teacher, and newly
addicted blogger! This would have been my 6th year
teaching, but I am staying home with my new, beautiful baby boy!
Here’s my little guy, Jacob Taylor. He’s so amazing! He was born March 25th, 2014 weighing 7.7 lbs. and measuring 21 inches. He’s almost five months now and has such an amazing personality. You can see it shine through in this picture! I’m just so in love with him!
I married my handsome husband almost three years ago! We live in Southern California in a cute, small town. We enjoy taking walks around our neighborhood and seeing all of our neighbors and their kids. It’s a great little community with young families like us!
This picture was taken in Catalina when I was 4 months pregnant with Baby Jake!

Our honeymoon in Kauai!
My graduation in 2012 with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and Administrative Credential (with honors, I might add!).

Our beautiful wedding day! October 1, 2011

I love my family very much. We are all super close and enjoy spending time together!

THESE
ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS…
My
baby boy Jacob (I know he’s not a thing, but he’s my favorite no matter what). Family. Starbucks. Chocolate. Cookies. Blogging. Clipart. Fonts. Puppies.
Target. Home Goods. Manicures. Pedicures. Working out. Teaching. Apple products. Music. Dancing. Line Dancing. Shopping. Friends.
IF
YOU WEREN’T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
An
interior decorator/designer. I love shopping at Home Goods and I love
decorating houses! If you look at my Five for Friday post, you can see how I redecorated my parents’ guest bathroom.
THREE
LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.
Loyal.
Happy. Loving.
FINISH
THE SENTENCE, “________,  SAID NO
TEACHER EVER!!”
I
love it when you shout out your answers instead of raise your hand!
Q:
IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO
ARE YOU INVITING?
Channing
Tatum!!
Q:
IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?
Cue
the Water Works!

I
am super sensitive and cry about everything. I am very sentimental and I have a
lot of empathy for others. Since I cry about everything, even those “stop
smoking” ads and ASPCA ads, my sister coined the term, “cue the water works.”
She usually says it right before I am about to cry. She knows me very well. Haha!
Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?
To stop time! I wish I could pause time so I
could get a few more things done while everyone else is paused. I also would
love to enjoy my little man as much as possible and freeze the super cute
moments with him!
Q:
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?
“Trust
in what you love, continue to do it, and it will take you where you need to
go.”
-Natalie
Goldberg
Q:
IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Before
He Cheats by
Carrie Underwood
Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?
This
is hard to say…Now that I have a baby I get a lot done in the morning when he
takes his morning nap. However, when he goes to bed at around 8:30 p.m., I stay
up late to get more things done. Before he was born I would stay up late and
like to sleep in on the weekends. So, I guess you could say I’m a night person.
Right now, I’ll take any sleep I can get any time of the day!
Q:
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU’VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?
I
really love my FREEBIE Literature Circles packet. This was one of the first
things I created for TpT. I
revamped it back in March with new fonts and borders. It’s one FREEBIE that I
love to call my own. I’ve even seen it on other district and school websites! I
love the feedback I have received for this packet and I am super proud of my
work!
Q:
SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!
My
family is Cuban and I speak Spanish. I love being Cuban and I love our culture,
especially our food! I have a big Cuban family and I hope I can continue to
pass down our Cuban heritage my little boy.
Thank you for hosting this Linky party Stephanie! Hop on over to her blog to make your post!
Have a wonderful day!

Your son is adorable! How lucky that you get to stay home with him this year. I am due in October and am doing the same thing this year.

Your baby is precious. I stayed home with mine…missed 7 years of teaching. I don't regret it…but now I'm playing catch up! All good.
