I’m back!

January 20, 2014 in Uncategorized

So it’s been a year since my last post!

It’s been a busy year…

My husband and I bought a house and now we are expecting our first baby, due in 9 weeks!

I made it my New Year’s Resolution to post weekly and continue to work on the things I love, like craftivities, literacy and math practice activities, and other things for my students and to share with teachers.

I have been busy working on some things for my Teachers Pay Teachers store and for my classroom.

Here are some new things I have created…

Big Bushy Mustache Writing Craftivity

After reading Gary Soto’s Big Bushy Mustache, students will be able to identify the main character’s problem and explain how he solved his problem.
This writing piece is aligned with the Common Core State Standard: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.2.3 Describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges.Display students’ writing pieces on this cute craftivity resembling the main character and his “big bushy mustache.”This download includes the blackline masters for the craftivity and writing piece. There is also a guide on how to use the Bubble Map and Four Square graphic organizer to help students organize their thoughts and complete their writing piece.
