Accelerated Reader

I’m a huge fan of Accelerated Reader! It’s one of my passions, and I love spreading this joy of reading to my students. One of the best things AR brings to our classroom is organization. I created labels to organize our classroom library to make book selection easier for students. Students learned our AR routine very quickly, and they’re always making sure our classroom library is organized. It took me (along with my friends and family :D) a long time to organize our classroom library this way, but it was well worth the hard work! Here’s an idea of how I use these labels in our classroom!

I also use a special bulletin board to display students’ progress towards their AR goals. It’s titled “High Five for Reading!”
Students get so excited that they always ask why their hand hasn’t moved up yet…right after they take their quiz!
